Researching South Korea for the South Korean story

Juli 23, 2017

Tonight, before going to bed, I plan to research about South Korea for next week’s South Korean story, making it the 2nd half of the collective Korean stories. So much to cover! Let’s go.

Taekwondo is the national sport of the country. Everybody here LOVES taekwondo.
South Korean people are proud of eating kimchi, fermented cabbage.
But what gets us about South Korea is its pop culture. Everyone loves watching Korean dramas (even my girlfriend Fina!), and groups like Big Bang, BTS, Blackpink, and NCT 127 are so in right now.
But still, you can’t deny the fact that Super Junior, SHINee, and Girls’ Generation will always be in K-Popers hearts.
Remember Gangnam Style? Yeah. South Korea.
Artists undergoing military service? South Korea.
Even your smartphone is made in South Korea (don’t say the brand!).

Also, is Jessica Jung Korean or American? Because she was born in the US, was in Girls’ Generation until 2014, and is bilingual speaking both Korean and English.
