ABOUT THE SINGER:
Iolanda Costa (born November 4, 1994), best known mononymously as Iolanda, is a Portuguese singer-songwriter.

It was with the debut of the EP “Cura” in 2023, one of the albums of the year for Expresso/Blitz, that the doors of national radio stations opened and went on to the big stages of national festivals, NOS Alive, Paredes de Coura, Festival F and is already confirmed at the Sónar 2024 festival. In it you can hear Andalusian fado, without being fado, in a Portuguese style of fusion. You can feel in Iolanda’s music the brilliant mix that brings together pop, R&B, without forgetting the roots of those who grew up listening to traditional Portuguese but also Iberian music. She has long been a composer, she has written for national artists, Bárbara Tinoco, Bárbara Bandeira, among many others, but her warm and powerful voice interpreting her own creations make her an undeniable talent.

After winning Festival da Canção 2024, Iolanda is set to represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden with the song “Grito”.

Portugal will perform in the second half of the Scarlet Cup (semi-final 1) on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
